Communication Software

I use three types of software to communicate with my clients, they are SKYPE, WIRE, and VSEE. Although 99% of my clients use Skype, and as there is no requests for any other options, I will probably not add any new ones in the near future. You should pick the one you feel most comfortable using

Introduction

Counselling services have been using the telephone to deliver therapy helping to support people for many years, help and support has been given to people who would otherwise not have been able to receive it. In some cases, the only way that disabled people who are housebound or who are unable to travel can talk to a counsellor is via the phone, it gives them the access and support they can use. People have been using this way of receiving counselling before the internet was available, phone counselling has been shown to be as useful for some people as traditional face to face therapy, it is still used today as much as it ever was, with the added benefits provided with the mobile and smartphone devices. Now people are not restricted with landlines; they can be completely mobile based, Programs like Skype can also be installed and used on the majority of smart- phones, allowing the use of internet-based online therapy where ever you can connect to a mobile network. As a therapist working online I have looked into the security of a number of communication software platforms and found three that I find trustworthy, Skype, Wire, Vsee.
